Membership fees

Antenatal classes + Baby and You + 12 month membership - $220
Baby and You + 12 month membership  - $120 
Annual Renewal (after the first 12 Months)- $60


What do I get for my membership fee?

Your $220 will cover your 6 weeks of antenatal classes run by a qualified Childbirth Educator.  After you have had your baby, your “coffee group” will then complete a 6 week Baby & You course. When your baby is between 6-12 months you also have the option of attending the Moving and Munching course, this is also covered in your membership fee.   Throughout the year we also run other “positive parenting evenings” on a variety of topics.  On top of all these courses you will also receive your bi monthly newsletter and Kiwiparent magazine and a great discount scheme with local businesses when you show your MPC membership card.

WHAT IS THE “BABY & YOU” COURSE?

This information packed course runs for 6 weeks from 10-12 on a Monday morning in the same room as you have your antenatal classes.  It covers topics that are applicable to new parents and are a great place to discuss problems or changes in your life when baby arrives.  You do the Baby & You course with your baby (of course!) and also with the same people that were in your antenatal class.  We invite professionals in, who cover topics such as baby development, active movement and first foods. We also have many discussions on baby related topics such as feeding and sleeping etc.   It is a very popular and informative course and we have a lot of positive feedback from our members.

WHAT IS THE MOVING & MUNCHING COURSE?

This programme identifies areas in need of sleeping, safety-proofing in the home, intellectual and social development, second stage solids, healthy attitudes to food  and much more.

Moving & Munching is a three-module programme for parents of children aged from around 6 to 12 months.

KIWI PARENT MAGAZINE

Kiwi Parent is a national magazine published by Parents Centre New Zealand, which contains articles of interest to parents.

MARLBOROUGH PARENTS CENTRE NEWSLETTER

Our local newsletter is published bi-monthly and provides information about our centre.

Both the local newsletter and national magazine are delivered to all members bi-monthly.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS AND DISCOUNTS

Membership cards are issued to all financial members and can be used to obtain discounts at various local businesses.
